Body of missing Marshall County woman identified

BENTON, Ky., (KBSI) — The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday the body of a woman missing since June has been recovered and identified as Kathryn Pipitone of Aurora.

Pipitone was reported missing June 28 from her home. Her body was transported to the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville on Aug. 26, where forensic analysis confirmed her identity, authorities said.

“The thoughts and prayers of our office are with the Pipitone family during this difficult time,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The case remains under investigation. Officials said no additional information will be released until forensic analysis is complete.
