Body recovered from Clearwater Lake following search effort

PIEDMONT, Mo., (KBSI) — The Piedmont Police Department announced Tuesday that the body of a community member who had been reported missing at Clearwater Lake has been recovered.

In a statement, the department said the recovery followed an extensive search effort involving first responders, search and recovery personnel and other assisting agencies.

Authorities did not release the identity of the individual.

The department extended its condolences to the victim’s family, friends and loved ones and thanked all personnel who assisted in the search and recovery operation.

Officials also asked the public to respect the family’s privacy as they grieve their loss.
