Boil water advisory for portions of Jackson lifted

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – The boil water advisory for portions of Jackson has been lifted in the subdivisions of Trail Ridge, Kimbel Woods, East Ridge and along Old Cape Road from Kimbel Woods Drive to Gloria Street.

Portions of the city of Jackson were under a boil water advisory after a water main break Saturday night.

The water main breaking happened on Trail Ridge Drive and was reported about 9 p.m. Saturday, May 20. Crews worked through the night and Sunday morning.

The water distribution system has been repaired. Water quality testing showed no evidence of contamination, according to the city of Jackson.

The city of Jackson’s water is safe for consumption without boiling and residents can freely drink and use their water.
