Boil water advisory issued for 44 properties in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for 44 properties near the Interstate 55 and Kingshighway intersection after an underground booster pump failed.

Residents in the affected area may have experienced little to no water pressure. As a precaution, impacted customers are advised to boil and cool water before consumption.

Water testing is underway, with results expected by 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 24. Registered addresses in the affected area have received notifications.
