Boil water advisory lifted for Cape Girardeau residents

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Boil water advisory lifted for Cape residents.
City of Cape Girardeau says water tests have tested safe for using after a recent water main break affecting the northern side of Cape.
The 12-inch water main break was in the area of Cape LaCroix Road near Boutin and Deerfield and happened on Sunday December 29, 2024.
More than 1100 addresses were under a boil water advisory as a result of the break in Cape.
The city of Cape cautions water customers that as temperatures drop water main breaks could become more prominent and customers should prepare.
