Boil water order lifted for parts of Conger in Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON, Ill., (KBSI) — A boil water order issued for parts of Conger has been lifted, effective at 10:25 a.m. on Feb. 19.

The order affected residents at 1708 and 1711 Conger, according to city officials.

The advisory had been issued as a precaution following maintenance on the water distribution system, which can cause changes in water pressure and disturb sediment in water mains. Officials said there was no confirmed contamination.
