Families invited to participate in 2022 Bollinger County Great Dinosaur Hunt
MARBLE HILL, Mo. (KBSI) – If you plan to visit Bollinger County, Missouri this month be on the lookout for dinosaurs! That’s right. The county is full of them for the 2022 Bollinger County Great Dinosaur Hunt.
For the entire month of July, families and county residents all can take part in Bollinger County’s Great Dinosaur Hunt.
President of the Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce Becky Wiginton says it’s an opportunity for small businesses to open their doors to new people and especially families to provide a way for them to enjoy quality time together.
“Families to enjoy our local businesses and see businesses they might not normally visit and earn prizes after doing a little bit of a scavenger hunt,” said Wiginton.
The idea of the scavenger hunt came from a different county, but this one is especially tailored for Bollinger County, which is also called the home of the Missouri dinosaur. That’s because the first dinosaur in Missouri was discovered in Bollinger County.
“And we like dinosaurs and kids like dinosaurs so we thought why don’t we make our dinosaurs into a scavenger hunt,” said Wiginton.
The hunt continues through July 29 with more than 27 participating small businesses and the opportunity to win prizes.
Wiginton hopes county residents and even members of other surrounding areas come out and….
“Just keep hunting,” said Wiginton.
