Bollinger County man arrested on child sex crime charges

MARBLE HILL, Mo., (KBSI) — A Bollinger County man has been arrested after a felony warrant was issued charging him with multiple child sex crimes, authorities said.
The Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office said a warrant was issued Sept. 12 for Elzie Rhodes on three counts of first-degree child molestation, one count of first-degree statutory rape, and one count of forcible sodomy. The charges range from Class B felonies to an unclassified felony.
Deputies located Rhodes at his residence and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into the Bollinger County Jail and is being held without bond.
Officials said no additional information will be released due to the nature of the case. Rhodes remains in custody pending court proceedings.
Authorities emphasized that Rhodes is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
