Bollinger County man found guilty of murder

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Bollinger County man was found guilty of murder after a 4-day jury trial.

A jury trial for Eric Nanney ran from Tuesday October 22, 2024, through Friday October 25, 2024.

Nanney received a guilty ruling on October 29, 2024.

Nanney faces charges for the murder of an Illinois women in 2021. Detectives say the woman was repeatedly shot and stabbed.

According to documents Nanney was found guilty of Murder in the 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Tampering with Physical Evidence in a Felony Prosecution, and Abandonment of a Corpse.

His sentencing date is November 21, 2024.

Another involved party Kaitlyn Morgan will go to jury trial November 21, 2024, according to court documents.

Morgan and Nanney both were charged with abandonment of a corpse after a women’s body was found on their property.
