Bollinger County Sheriff to step down May 1

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Sheriff Casey A. Graham announced Monday that he will step down from his position on May 1 to pursue a new career opportunity.

Graham cited the uncertainty surrounding the Missouri Sheriff’s Retirement System as a factor in his decision.

During his tenure, Graham said he has enhanced law enforcement services in the county, secured over $1.2 million in grant funding and built positive working relationships with local, state and federal agencies.

Graham thanked the citizens of Bollinger County for their support and expressed appreciation for the dedicated employees of the sheriff’s office.

Chief Deputy Stash Petton, a 30-year veteran in law enforcement, will lead the sheriff’s office as interim sheriff.

Graham said he will assist with the transition and is confident that Petton will lead a professional and proactive sheriff’s office.
