Bomb and arson investigators called to deadly St. Louis County fire

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — St. Louis County police are investigating a suspicious death connected to a house fire Wednesday night in north St. Louis County.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers responded around 10:08 p.m. to a reported house fire in the 11300 block of Old Halls Ferry Road.

First responders entered the home and located an adult man inside the living room. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries.

The investigation is being handled by the St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and the St. Louis Regional Bomb and Arson Unit.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
