Bottled water distribution to end in Marion, Ky on Sept. 2
MARION, Ky. (KBSI) – More progress in Marion, Kentucky, as city leaders announced that bottled water distribution is now set to end on September 2, 2022 at 6 p.m.
In a release, the City of Marion said there is less of a need for bottled water thanks to improvements with the water supply at Old City Lake, the quantity of water provided by the Crittenden-Livingston water district, and the lifting of the boil water advisory.
Leaders say the city will maintain a substantial supply of bottled water in reserve in case there is a need for it in the future, and should the City issue another boil water advisory or another issue, the bottled water distribution center can reopen on short notice.
The City of Marion continues to be under a stage 3 water conservation order. City leaders ask that residents continue to conserve water by limiting use. Washing cars and filling pools are still prohibited right now.
