Burn ban issued in Kennett due to current conditions

KENNETT, Mo., (KBSI) — A burn ban is in effect in the city of Kennett until further notice, according to the Kennett Fire Department.

Officials said all outdoor burning is prohibited due to current conditions, including brush piles and any open flames that could quickly spread.

The restrictions are intended to protect residents, property and emergency responders.

Residents are urged to properly dispose of smoking materials, avoid outdoor burning and report any fires immediately.
