CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Busch Pet Products & Care donated nearly 1,800 pounds of pet food and supplies to the Southeast Missouri Food Bank, officials said.

The donation included dog and cat food as well as cat litter collected through community efforts, including the Howie Hearts and Peeps for Paws Easter events and private donations.

The company also credited Fromm Family Foods for contributing additional pet food.

Organizers said the effort supports the Howie’s Harvest program, which helps pet owners care for their animals during times of need.
