JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) – Business owner, combat veteran and community leader Lucas Green has announced his candidacy for Missouri House District 146 in the August 2026 Republican primary.

Green, who previously ran for the seat, said he has continued building support since his last campaign, including working on the “No on Amendment 3” effort with grassroots pro-life advocates.

“With the encouragement of family, friends and countless neighbors across our district, I’m ready to step forward again and serve,” Green said in a statement. “Over the last several years, I’ve worked hard to show people who I am, what I stand for, and how I’ll fight for the values that have made Missouri strong.”

A Crump native, Green served 11 years in the Missouri Army National Guard, including a tour in Iraq, where he earned an Army Commendation Medal. He and his wife, Sarah, own Greens of Fruitland and Sikeston Trade Fair. He said their businesses have invested more than $1 million into the Jackson and Fruitland communities, creating jobs and spurring local growth.

Green’s campaign said his priorities include opposing abortion, defending religious liberty and free speech, protecting Second Amendment rights, reducing regulations on farmers and small businesses, and limiting federal government influence in Missouri.

He is active in several community and civic groups, including his church, the Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he serves in a leadership role.

“Serving in the state legislature isn’t about climbing the political ladder — it’s about representing our local values, standing firm when they’re challenged and making sure government works for the people,” Green said.
