Caffeinated in Cape brews up some weekend fun

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau hosted the 4th annual Caffeinated in Cape where residents got to sample goodies from the area. This event got things are brewing for all caffeine addicts and chocoholics. 

Jocelyn Anderson, the director of Caffeinated in Cape, says this was a quick way for residents to get a sense of variety of businesses and get a little sampling of everything.  

“Caffeinated In Cape is really a way to get the community downtown and get them walking around all the businesses that we have and get them into a lot of different businesses really within one day,” Anderson said. ““At the heart of this event, it’s just really meant to be fun and relaxing and a great way to spend a Saturday morning enjoying the downtown Cape area.” 

Along with samples of coffee and chocolate, folks also got to try a variety of teas, cookies, and pizza from area businesses who participated in the event. 

For first time attendee, Amanda Korte, it was all about one thing for her.  

“The coffee all day long.” Korte said, laughing with others who were standing with her, agreeing. 

Caffeinated in Cape had over twenty-five vendors this year and are already planning for next year’s event.
