Caldwell County man charged with multiple counts of child sexual exploitation

CALDWELL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces child sexual exploitation charges in Caldwell County.
The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Jarrett Wesley Collins, 42, on charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Collins is charged with 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old. These charges are Class-C felonies punishable by five to 10 years in prison.
He was arrested after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.
The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, according to the KSP.
Authorities executed a search warrant at a home in Princeton on December 13. They seized equipment used to facilitate the crime, according to KSP. It was taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Collins was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
The investigation continues.
