Calloway County deputies help locate suspect in Murray shooting case

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Murray man was arrested after police said he fired a gun at a person inside a residence early May 23.
The Murray Police Department responded to a home on the south side of Murray at about 3:49 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. Officers determined no one was injured.
Investigators said Vi Jay Hill, 25, of Murray, was inside the residence when he allegedly fired a weapon at another person before fleeing the area.
Police said three additional people were inside the home near where the shooting occurred.
Hill was later located by deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
Following the investigation, Hill was arrested and charged with attempted murder and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
Police noted that all individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
