MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) — Calloway County Fire-Rescue responded Tuesday afternoon to a two-vehicle crash involving a crane truck and a passenger car on KY 121 South near Cypress Trail.
The collision occurred shortly after 4 p.m. Sept. 30, according to CCFR. When crews arrived, they found the crane truck overturned across both lanes of the highway and a black passenger car with heavy front-end damage off the roadway.
All occupants were out of the vehicles when first responders arrived. Murray–Calloway County EMS evaluated both drivers and transported one to Murray–Calloway County Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Investigators said the crane truck was traveling northbound when the car, which had been stopped at the intersection to turn south, pulled into its path. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage, but officials said injuries were minor.
Paul’s Towing and Max’s 641 Towing assisted with clearing the scene, allowing the roadway to fully reopen around 7 p.m. Fire-Rescue responded with a pumper, a tanker, a support truck and a command vehicle. Fourteen firefighters remained on scene for about three hours.
