Calloway County man arrested in Kirksey theft investigation

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Murray man was arrested Wednesday on a Calloway County warrant following an investigation into a theft reported the previous day in Kirksey, the sheriff’s office said.
According to investigators, Gregory A. Billington, 40, removed lock boxes containing more than $1,000 worth of property and did not return a borrowed vehicle as agreed. Deputies later recovered the vehicle.
Billington was taken into custody and booked into the Calloway County Detention Center.
He is charged with:
- Theft by unlawful taking $1,000–$10,000 (Class D felony)
- Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
