Calloway County man arrested on cocaine trafficking charges following ongoing investigation

MURRAY, Ky., (KBSI) – A 19-year-old Murray man was arrested last week after deputies with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office found him in possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

On Oct. 31, 2025, narcotics detectives and deputies made contact with Bailey T. Blankenship, who was found carrying more than nine grams of cocaine and various items of drug paraphernalia consistent with the trafficking of illegal narcotics.

Blankenship’s arrest followed an investigation that began Oct. 1, 2025, during which he was also charged in connection with an earlier drug-related incident.

He was taken into custody on the following charges:

Charges from Oct. 1, 2025:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Cocaine) – Class D Felony
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Charges from Oct. 31, 2025:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (≥4 grams Cocaine) – Class C Felony
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Blankenship was lodged in the Calloway County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.
