CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A New Concord man was arrested Dec. 28, 2025, on multiple charges after deputies served active indictment warrants and discovered he was illegally in possession of a firearm, authorities said.

Deputies made contact with Paul E. Jackson, 58, at about 9 p.m. at a residence on Boehm Drive in connection with multiple outstanding indictment warrants. During the encounter, deputies found Jackson in possession of a firearm. Further investigation confirmed Jackson has prior felony convictions, which prohibit him from possessing a firearm.

Authorities said Jackson was out on bond at the time of his arrest for several felony and narcotics-related cases pending in Calloway County. Officials noted the arrest marked Jackson’s 15th in Calloway County since 2021 for various offenses.

Jackson was charged Dec. 28 with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a Class D felony.

In addition, deputies served two Calloway County indictment warrants charging Jackson with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense, involving methamphetamine and cocaine; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Several of the trafficking charges are Class C felonies, authorities said.

Records show Jackson was previously released on bond for additional Calloway County cases, including first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia on Dec. 19, 2025, and for receiving stolen property and fleeing or evading police on May 27, 2025.

The investigation remains ongoing.
