Campbell Elementary hosts fire safety assembly with local firefighters

CAMPBELL, Mo., (KBSI) — Students at Campbell Elementary School spent the day learning valuable lessons about fire safety during a special assembly hosted by local firefighters.

The interactive program included demonstrations on how to safely evacuate during a fire, the importance of having a home escape plan, and what to do if clothing catches fire — including the “Stop, Drop, and Roll” technique. Firefighters also showcased their gear and equipment, helping students understand that firefighters are community helpers, even when dressed in full protective gear.
