Campbell Fire Department responds to false alarm, structure fire

CAMPBELL, Mo., (KBSI) – The Campbell Fire Department responded to two calls early Thursday, including a structure fire that left two people with minor injuries.
Firefighters were first dispatched at 1:15 a.m. to a fire alarm at the General Baptist Nursing Home, which was determined to be a false alarm. At 4 a.m., crews were paged to the 800 block of Louis Street for a mobile home fire.
When firefighters arrived, the mobile home was fully engulfed. Two people were treated for minor injuries at the scene by ambulance crews. The fire was contained, preventing damage to nearby houses and vehicles.
No additional injuries were reported. The mobile home sustained extensive fire, smoke and water damage throughout the structure.
The Campbell Police Department, Dunklin County Sheriff’s Office and Dispatch, Medic One, and Campbell Volunteer Firefighters assisted in the response.
