Cancer Warriors Walk for Hope

METROPLIS, Ill. (KBSI) – This Saturday October 5, 2024, is the Cancer Warriors Walk for Hope in Metropolis.

Registration begins at 9:30 am at the registration tent.

Then a dedication ceremony will be held at 10 am at the The Hope Lighthouse, followed by the Walk.

30 local healthcare facilities and businesses from throughout the region will be in attendance, bounce houses, games and activities, prizes, food, and so much more.

Entry fee for the walk is $25 and you will receive a free t-shirt until they run out.

Anyone can participate in the Dedication Ceremony at no charge. This is not a traditional 3K or 5K, so Walk registration will remain open until 11:00.  The Walk will end at 12:00, but Vendors and activities will remain until roughly 2:00.

The event benefits cancer programs throughout Southern Illinois.
