Cape authorities respond to Sunday attic fire
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Last weekend, authorities were called to a house attic fire in Cape Girardeau.
The fire commenced late Sunday evening at 2620 Jewel Drive.
The residents called 9-1-1 and were outside waiting when fire crews arrived.
Crews entered the house and found the fire was in the attic, and they were able to quickly contain the fire.
Firefighters determined the fire was electrical in nature and caused an estimated $30,000 worth of damage.
