I like Victorian media a lot, I like looking at old pictures and old pieces. Like old art is everything to me. It’s beautiful I hope to be as good as like Da Vinci, something like that someday. Something real realistic, real beautiful.”

Hethcote’s art was chosen out of hundreds of pieces submitted by hundreds of Missouri students. Her art teacher saying, “We couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishments and congratulate her on this outstanding achievement”.

Hethcote says she’s honored that her work is being noticed.

I’m very happy. I’m very pleased that people are noticing my art. They’re stopping me in the hallways saying congratulations on your work it looks amazing and honestly, I get a little teary eyed whenever I think about it a lot, but yeah I’m very honored and very thankful says Hethcote.

Hethcote says she’s still deciding between Art and Marine Biology at either Texas A&M or Semo after graduates.
