Cape Copters pilot inspires NHS students with helicopter landing and life lessons

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Students at Nell Holcomb School had a special visit Wednesday when Jeff Venus of Cape Copters landed a helicopter on the playground for students to explore.

Venus spoke with eighth grade JAG students about his experiences as a pilot and Marine, stressing the importance of reading to expand knowledge. He also introduced students to his service dog, Winnie.

School officials thanked Venus, Cape Copters and Winnie for providing students with an engaging and educational experience.
