Cape Farmer’s Market opens for the 2022 season

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Farmer’s Market hosted the first market for the 2022 season.

More than 30 venders opened the start of the market.

The booths consist of locally grown foods and locally raised animals. Venders will sell their food items, clothing products and toys.

The market will also feature foods from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Many public safety booths will be open later in the year. These are to inform people on health code policies and important safety practices. This is uncommon to most farmer’s markets according to Marilyn Peters, market manager.

The Cape Farmer’s Market is free to attend and is open every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. now until November 17 in the West Park Mall Parking lot.
