Cape Girardeau airport launches first nonstop flight to Pensacola

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Cape Girardeau Regional Airport has cut the ribbon, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday morning to mark the launch of its first nonstop flight to Pensacola.
The event was scheduled for 8 a.m. May 6 and included a water cannon salute as the inaugural flight departs. Officials said the flight is expected to take off at 8:45 a.m.
Airport officials invited the public to attend the sendoff.
