Identity of Cape Girardeau shooting victim released

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The identity of the victim in a deadly shooting in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday has been released.

Vincent Twiggs II, 40, from Cape Girardeau died Feb. 8, according to the Cape Girardeau Police Department.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department received a report of a shooting about 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8 in the area of College and Frederick. Twiggs II died at the scene.

The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad was activated.

On Thursday, February 10 at about 3 p.m., The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad was disbanded after establishing and investigating multiple leads surrounding the shooting.
