Cape Girardeau cancels public meetings on future tourism projects

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The City of Cape Girardeau has canceled two upcoming public meetings on potential tourism fund projects as officials continue reviewing the community’s needs.

The meetings were scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 1, at the Osage Centre and Wednesday, Oct. 7, at City Hall.

The city did not announce new dates for the meetings.

Residents can still provide feedback and submit ideas for future tourism projects through the city’s online comment system.

City officials said staff and community partners will continue reviewing potential tourism projects.
