Cape Girardeau church holds clothing giveaway

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Saturday the Saint James AME Church in Cape Girardeau helped out those in the community by holding a free clothing giveaway.

The church already feeds the homeless daily and offers them free showers as well.

Recently they were given an abundance of clothes from a retail store that went out of business.

The pastor decided to give the clothes to whoever needed them.

“Doing it for the college kid that may have a job interview or something and needed dress clothes or dress shirts. So we opened up for them and then we got so much I said, ‘Why don’t we just give it to anybody that needs it,’ because we sure there are other people that might need dressy clothes for job interview for the job.”
