“Having just come off the political campaign I can tell you that there are a lot of people who really, really want to know how its tax dollars are used, how decisions are made in the city government,” said Cape Girardeau Mayor-elect Stacy Kinder.

“So, the hope is that you know our groups of people will feel more engaged after the process they will be one knowledgeable about how our city operates, why things are done a certain way, how the funding happens.”

The City Council hopes to bring people together and help the community learn about the local government.

The sessions are eight weeks long and start at 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday.
