Cape Girardeau City Council votes to explore rehabilitation of old theatre building

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The old Broadway theatre building in Cape Girardeau has been granted a stay of execution.

City council members voted to explore other options outside of demolishing the historical structure.

The new direction does not guarantee the building will be saved, but directs city staff to explore the rehabilitation of the building as an option.
