Cape Girardeau County Coroner trial setting scheduled

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau County Coroner had a court hearing on Tuesday September 17, 2024.

During the hearing Wavis Jordan withdrew his change of venue motion and requested a bench trial and speedy trial.

The judge granted the request.

According to documents his trial setting is scheduled for October 3, 2024.

Jordan faces three felony counts of providing false information and one misdemeanor count of stealing.

Jordan has plead not guilty to these charges.
