Cape Girardeau County deputies visit Community Day School for Read Across America Week

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Deputies with the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office visited Community Day School this week as part of Read Across America Week.
During the visit, deputies spent time reading with students and discussing the importance of literacy and learning.
Officials said the event provided an opportunity for deputies to connect with students, answer questions and encourage reading.
The sheriff’s office thanked Community Day School for the invitation and for the work the school does to support its students.
