Cape Girardeau County History Center hosting indoor nativity walk exhibit

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau County History Center is welcoming visitors to its indoor nativity walk exhibit.

The exhibit features 26 unique Christmas trees, as well as displays depicting the stories, art history, symbols, and legends of the Christmas story.

Volunteer Margaret Tallent said this event showcases the true reason for the season.

THE EXHIBIT FEATURES TWENTY-SIX UNIQUE CHRISTMAS TREES, AS WELL AS DISPLAYS DEPICTING THE STORIES, ART HISTORY, SYMBOLS, AND LEGENDS OF THE CHRISTMAS STORY… 

VOLUNTEER MARGARET TALLENT SAYS THIS EVENT SHOWCASES THE TRUE REASON FOR THE SEASON… 

“As a Christian, the nativity is the birth of Jesus. That’s what the season is all about,” she said. “We share the commercial side and everything, but the true reason for Christmas is the birth of Jesus.” 

The history center is open from 10 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday, and the exhibit will be on display through January 13.
