Cape Girardeau County man arrested on meth delivery, resisting charges

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A Cape Girardeau County man was arrested Thursday following a narcotics investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said Alex Shane Curry attempted to flee on foot during the arrest but was quickly apprehended. A search revealed multiple baggies containing about 8.5 grams of methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia and two cell phones.
The Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed charges of delivery of a controlled substance, a Class C felony, and resisting arrest, a Class E felony. Judge A. Trueblood issued a warrant and set bond at $10,000 cash only.
Curry was booked into the Cape Girardeau County Jail, where he remains pending further court proceedings.
Authorities noted that all charges are accusations, and Curry is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
