CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A northern Cape Girardeau County man has been charged following an assault investigation that left a victim with serious facial injuries, authorities said.

Deputies responded Sept. 25 to a delayed assault report. The victim was treated at a local hospital for damaged teeth and bruising.

The next morning, deputies arrested Terry Roberts during a traffic stop. A firearm was recovered from his vehicle, and investigators noted Roberts has multiple prior felony convictions.
