Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center offering drive thru vaccine clinic

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center is holding drive thru vaccine clinics to provide kindergartners and 8th graders with the vaccinations they need before heading back to school.

Wednesday marked the first of two days the center will be offering the clinic, with the other beiing July 26.

Vaccines available at the clinic are meningitis MCV4, meningitis B, HPV, Tdap, and flu.

Stacy Skidmore, a nurse at the center, said getting those vaccines taken care of now will save some headache once the school year rolls around.

“You can come through, we make it painless, we scan your insurance card, and we give you your shots, and we get you on your way, back to your daily lives,”she said.

While insurance is accepted, it is not required. The clinic on July 26 will run from 9 am to 4 pm.
