Cape Girardeau County seeks public input on property tax freeze proposal
JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau County Commission will hold a public hearing on Aug. 14, 2025, at 9 a.m. to gather input on implementing a Homestead Property Tax Freeze, recently passed by the state legislature.
The hearing will take place at the County Commission Chambers, 100 Court St., 3rd Floor, in Jackson.
Residents may submit written testimony via email at commish@capecounty.us prior to the hearing. Submissions must include the resident’s name and address.
