Cape Girardeau County woman arrested for domestic assault, elderly abuse

CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A police report has revealed details of a domestic assault incident involving a mother and daughter.

On Jan. 28, 2025, officers responded to a report of domestic assault and found the mother, Greta, with a large healing bruise on her face, a swollen lip, and bruises on her arms and neck.

The daughter, Celeste, had scratches on her neck and arms, and claimed her mother’s injuries were due to a fall.

However, a nurse at Mercy Hospital stated that Greta’s injuries were consistent with defensive wounds. Stating there were bruises all over her body ranging from her back to her inner thighs.

Celeste Myers was arrested after a witness reported receiving fearful messages from Greta, and Celeste was placed under arrest for domestic assault, and elderly abuse.
