Cape Girardeau Fire Department supports Polar Plunge for Special Olympics

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Cape Girardeau Fire Department provided safety and protection for over 160 participants in the Polar Plunge, a fundraising event for the Special Olympics, held recently.

Firefighters utilized their specialized ice rescue training and equipment, while several also participated in the plunge, diving into the icy waters.

The event was a success, thanks to the efforts of all participants.
