Cape Girardeau firefighters put out house fire on William Street

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Cape Girardeau firefighters battled a fire at a home on William Street Friday morning.

The call came to the fire department at 10:24 a.m. of a fire at 1728 William.

When firefighters arrived they found light smoke in the house and a small fire in the basement. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze, according to Cape Girardeau Fire Department Battalion Chief Brad Dillow.

No one was injured.
