Cape Girardeau man arrested on multiple assault charges

Cape Girardeau, MO – John Swofford, 24, was taken into custody by the Cape Girardeau Police Department early Tuesday morning.

Swofford faces two counts of 4th-degree assault and one count of 3rd-degree assault, specifically against a special victim, according to court documents.

He was booked at 3:05 a.m. on October 3, with bond set at $25,000 surety by Judge Miller.
