Cape Girardeau Nature Center offers free July programs

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — The Missouri Department of Conservation is inviting the public to explore nature and wellness through a pair of free programs this July at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center.
The first program, Discover Oak Hickory Forests, will be held Wednesday, July 9, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Participants ages 10 and older will learn how to identify oak and hickory trees, harvest their nuts and use them in baking. No registration is required.
A Meditation and Breathwork program is scheduled for Saturday, July 11, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Guided by Reshmi Mitra, the session will include gentle chair yoga, breathwork and meditation. The program is open to adults 18 and older of all skill levels. Registration is required.
The Cape Girardeau Nature Center is located at 2289 County Park Drive and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
