CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Patrolman Newton and K-9 Chief visited St. Francis Medical Center on Wednesday after being invited by Madelyn Bandermann, a current patient and cancer survivor, to help share some Christmas cheer.
The department said the officers spent the morning meeting with patients, families and staff, while K-9 Chief made “plenty of new friends.” Santa was also on hand, keeping an eye on the Grinch and adding to the festivities.
“Thank you, Madelyn, for the invitation and for inspiring us all with your strength and positivity,” the department said in a statement.
