Cape Girardeau PD respond to shooting on Morgan Oak

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- A shooting incident occurred in the 800-block of Morgan Oak earlier today, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers arrived at the scene, where they found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

Authorities have taken one suspect into custody in connection with the shooting. The suspect is currently being held pending formal charges.
