Cape Girardeau Police Department announces Officer of the Quarter

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI)- Every quarter an officer is selected by supervisors as the Officer of the Quarter.

Patrolman Skinner is the Cape Girardeau Police Department’s (CGPD) most recent recipient of this award.

Patrolman Skinner began his career with CGPD in August 2022.

While Patrolman Skinner may be relatively new to CGPD he has several years of experience in law enforcement and public safety.

Patrolman Skinner dedicated extensive time on his scheduled days off to collaborate with the narcotics division to help reduce narcotic distribution throughout the city.

Patrolman Skinner has demonstrated notable initiative by devising and orchestrating several successful directed patrols aimed at mitigating violent crime within the city while simultaneously serving as a field training officer.

His supervisors and peers talk highly of him and state, “Patrolman Skinner has a proactive approach to crime reduction and exemplary professionalism when dealing with the public daily.”
